Sr. Hardware Design Engineer

Job Responsibilities

Job involves working on high speed board designs for networking, broadband and communication products

You will be involved in all phases of the development including the specification, schematic capture, layout review, mechanical design review, and hands-on board debug and testing.

You will be interfacing with a various functional groups including software designers, test engineers and marketing. The scope includes Support for software integration testing and product support to customers.

 Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency in High speed multi -layer Board design with network processors, DSP or micro-controllers.
• Knowledge or experience on working on High end processor based architectures, FPGA’s and multi board systems will be essential.
• It’s essential for the candidate to have strong application knowledge and board debugging skills.
• Must have good working knowledge of schematic entry (Orcad/viewlogic) and PCB layout tools (PADS/allegro)
• You must be a self-starter requiring minimal supervision. You must also be a good team player with good communication skills, with a good track record of meeting tight schedule commitments.

PCB Layout Engineer

Job Responsibilities

The PCB/CAD designer will work with designers to build and maintain symbol/footprint part libraries, PCB layout, generation and maintenance of complete board documentation.
Design of printed circuit boards, including schematic generation, board layout, and fabrication/assembly documentation using PCB CAD tools
Translation of design input from electrical and mechanical engineers into detailed PCB designs as per industry standard
Generation of complete board fabrication and assembly documentation packages, including assembly, drill, silk screen, solder mask and solder paste drawings, layer drawings, Gerber files, and Bills of Material
Ensure designs follow SI constraints, EMI/RFI control, FCC, UL, and other world wide regulations
Assisting in manufacturing
General documentation support, supporting cross-company documentation requests and ECOs

Skills & Experience:

Education as BSEE / Diploma(preferred) or as Technician
3+ years of experience and proficiency using PCB layout tools such as Mentor PADS, Cadence OrCAD, Allegro
experience using AutoCAD for fabrication and assembly drawings
Experience in electronic packaging
Knowledge in High Density interconnects (Blind- / Buried Via).
Detailed knowledge of circuit design and consideration for layout, routing and timing, DFM, DFA, DFT constraints
Understanding of component placement sensitivities and Design For Manufacturing & Assembly
Familiarity with IPC-D-325 board documentation requirements
Excellent communication skills

Sr. Production/Process  Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• You need to work on all the aspects of prototype boards build and production which includes following
• Board net-list and PCB footprint verification
• Materials procurement (electronic components, accessories, boards, test equipments, packaging materials etc)
• Inventory control and management
• Parts kitting and PCB assembly of complex PCB’s
• Boards testing (functional and performance)
• Assist in agency testing of boards (EMI, Thermal tests)
• Boards debugging and repair of the same
• Shipment handling
• Support to design team on schematics/BOM reviews, boards testing and setup

 Skills and Experience:

• Should have extensive experience in Soldering of Commercial / Industrial Grade PCBs.
• Should have handled various different packages like DIP, SOT and PLCC, QFP. BGA experience would be added advantage
• Should have coordinated with component vendors, PCB fabrication vendor’s assembly/packaging house for PCB production.
• EMI/ECI and Environmental tests  Experience will be an added advantage
• Will be required to generate and maintain documents such as bill of materials, assembly drawing and notes, parts and boards inventory
• Experience in Board bring-up and board debugging is must.
• Should have Working experience with various testing equipment like Oscilloscope, debuggers, Digital meters, thermal probes
