This commitment has enabled us to build long-term partnerships with clients across a wide range of industries.
PCB Selective Soldering Services
- Selective soldering is a process of soldering selected electronic components to a PCB. The components are selected using a program created from an image of the PCB, specifying where flux and solder are to be applied.
- Selective soldering is performed by preheating, applying flux, and soldering. During preheating, the temperature of the PCB assembly is raised before soldering.
- In selective soldering, flux is applied only to the components that need to be soldered. Unlike wave soldering, only individual solder joints are exposed to the solder wave one at a time.
- Although selective soldering is slower than wave soldering, it is much more precise and allows independent configuration for each solder joint.
PCB Wave Soldering Services
- If your assembly requires conventional through-hole (THT) components, our team uses automated wave soldering machines to create mechanically and electrically reliable solder joints.
- Hand soldering is used for components that cannot be wave soldered. Our experienced soldering engineers use hand-held soldering irons with appropriately sized tips to achieve high-quality joints.
- Our team provides guidance on the most suitable techniques, including PCB wave soldering, PCB selective soldering, and PCB hand soldering, to enhance your assembly's performance.
Benefits of Automated Through-Hole PCB Assembly Process
- Process monitoring for enhanced quality.
- Advanced quality control and inspection equipment.
- Fast turnaround times.
- Fast setup and changeover as production demands.
- International and domestic material sourcing to help keep costs competitive.
- Shipping directly to you, your distributor, or your customer.
- Advanced screen printing for excellent speed, repeatability, and accuracy.
Automated PCBA Cleaning Process
- Automated PCB cleaning at Argus uses ultrasonic cleaning, high-pressure DI water or solvent sprays, and brush systems to remove flux, solder paste, and dust from circuit boards. This ensures reliable performance, especially for medical, aerospace, automotive, and other high-reliability applications.
- These systems automate cleaning, rinsing, and drying cycles, improving productivity and consistency for both batch and inline production. PLC controls, filtration, and drying systems ensure consistently clean results.
